Hero 212 block design & features
Hero212 is a shadcn/ui hero pairing editorial type with a single focal portrait: a muted eyebrow line, large italic Playfair headline, then a phone-tall rounded frame where images crossfade on a timer with slight blur and scale easing. A warm yellow ellipse blurred behind the frame reads as stage lighting. The same pill button and handwritten stroke motif from sibling carousel heroes appears beside the frame.
Behind and beneath, multiple rows of tiny bordered cards march in marquees that are rotated ninety degrees so motion reads vertically on the sides of the composition, capped by gradients that blend into the page.
The aesthetic is fashion-adjacent or editorial thanks to serif italics, soft monochrome photography, and glow. Complexity is moderate to high: timing the slideshow, tuning the glow, and keeping the marquee lanes from overpowering the center story.
On small screens the center column remains the anchor while the marquee field provides ambient motion at the edges.
