Feature 285 block design & features
Feature285 is a split canvas built with Shadcn UI inside a rounded, muted shell: one side stacks a linked logo row, large headline, muted paragraph, and a pill-like primary button, while the other side runs paired vertical marquees filled with portrait photography. Motion scrolls the columns continuously but can pause on hover, and pointer focus sharpens one image while neighbors blur.
The branded column is calm and text-forward; the marquee side is kinetic and photographic, producing a deliberate contrast between message and evidence. Rounded photo frames and generous internal padding keep the whole panel feeling like a contained module rather than an edge-to-edge strip.
This skews toward community or membership storytelling with a slightly editorial vibe. Complexity is moderate to high on the visual side because you need enough images for two loops plus careful hover logic, even though copy blocks are small. Uniqueness comes from dual vertical motion fields paired with the blur-focus interaction.
On smaller screens the grid stacks, typically placing the story before the marquee area while the marquees still need vertical space to read as columns rather than strips.
