Calendar 17 block design & features
Calendar17 is a horizontal week calendar built with shadcn/ui Button, Dialog, Field, and Input. Each day of the week is a row with its name and date pinned on the left, and the hours from 7am to 9pm run across the top. Events are horizontal bars that stack into extra lanes when they overlap, so every row grows only as tall as it needs.
Pressing on an empty part of a row and dragging sideways draws a highlighted bar with the time range, and releasing opens a dialog with the day and times filled in. A single click adds a one hour event. Clicking a bar opens it to edit or delete. Today's row is lightly tinted and a vertical red line marks the current time.
The sideways layout makes it easy to compare the same hour across the whole week, which suits shift rotas, studio bookings, and room schedules. Colors come from the theme chart palette. Content-driven: it needs a week of events with times.
On a narrow screen the hours scroll sideways while the day names stay pinned.
