Blogpost 28 block design & features
Blogpost28 is a single article with a newsletter bar that appears partway through, built with shadcn/ui Avatar, Button, and Input components. The header shows a category, headline, summary, and author byline with date and read time, then a wide landscape image and the prose article. Once the reader is part of the way through, a bar slides up at the bottom of the screen with a mail icon, a short heading and description, an email field, a subscribe button, and a close button.
The bar is a bordered, rounded panel with a strong shadow so it sits clearly above the text. It fades and rises into place instead of appearing abruptly, and submitting the form swaps the content for a short confirmation with a check icon. Closing it hides it for the rest of the visit.
Scroll-triggered sign-up prompts are common on publishing sites, and this version waits until the reader is engaged instead of interrupting the opening. Complexity is moderate. The sign-up is local state for demonstration and needs a mailing list service in real use, and the point where the bar appears is a prop.
On phones the bar stacks the message above the email field and button, and it stays within the article area so it does not cover later sections of the page.
