Blog 98 block design & features
Blog98 is an author page header built with shadcn/ui Button components. A large round portrait sits beside the author's name, role and company, location with a pin icon, and a short biography. A primary RSS follow button and square outline icon buttons for website, Twitter, and LinkedIn sit under the bio, and a ruled stats column on the right lists articles written, readers, and the year they started. Below, a "Latest from" heading with an all-articles link introduces a three-column row of cover cards.
The header is type-led and spacious, with the name at the largest heading size and the role line stepping down to medium weight. A hairline divides the stats from the profile, switching from a top rule on phones to a left rule on larger screens. The post cards are chromeless with video-ratio covers, uppercase categories, two-line excerpts, and date and read time pinned to the bottom.
It feels personal without being decorative, a straightforward profile pattern that gives bylines somewhere to lead. Complexity is low: the block needs one author portrait, a bio, a few stats, and at least three posts by that author, which it selects from the shared post list by matching the author name.
On phones the portrait stacks above the name and the stats sit in a three-up row beneath the buttons.
