Blog 88 block design & features
Blog88 is an eight-card blog grid built with shadcn/ui, set as two rows of four under a heading with no description. Each card is a bordered panel with a 16:9 cover running edge to edge across the top, then a padded body with an uppercase category label, title, two-line excerpt, and a byline. The byline places a small round avatar beside the author name stacked over the date, with the read time pushed to the right.
Cards use a light card surface with a hairline border and rounded corners that clip the cover image. Inside, type steps down from a semibold title to a muted excerpt, then to a medium-weight author name, a muted date, and a fainter read time. Grid gaps are tighter than the borderless variants. Hovering the cover dims it slightly and hovering the title underlines it.
A structured, publication-style card that leans on attribution. It differs from the twelve-card sibling by adding the read time and from the outlined four-card row by running images flush to the card edges. Moderate content requirements: eight posts with images, categories, summaries, author names, avatars, dates, and read times.
Two columns on tablets, one on phones. Long author names truncate rather than wrap, and bylines sit at the bottom of each card so they line up across a row.
