Blog 86 block design & features
Blog86 is a single-row blog section built with shadcn/ui, with a left-aligned heading and description above four post cards. Each card shows a 16:9 cover image, a small uppercase category label, a title, a two-line excerpt, and a meta line with the date and read time. Image and title link to the post separately.
Everything sits directly on the page background with no card borders or fills. Rounded covers provide the only shapes. Category labels are tiny, tracked-out, and muted, titles are semibold at a modest size, and the meta line fades from a muted date to a lighter read time across a faint dot. Spacing is generous between the header and the row. Hover dims the cover slightly and underlines the title. The block is otherwise static.
A quiet, minimal post strip close to a default editorial pattern. Its distinguishing traits within the four-column group are the single row of four and the read time in the meta line. Low complexity, needing four posts with cover images, categories, summaries, dates, and read times.
Cards fall to two columns on tablets and a single column on phones, with the meta line anchored to the bottom of each card so dates stay level.
