Blog 81 block design & features
Blog81 is a two-card blog row built with shadcn/ui styling, headed by a section title only. Each card has an edge-to-edge 16:9 cover, an uppercase category label, a large title, a three-line excerpt, and a byline at the bottom with a round avatar beside the author name and date stacked on two lines.
Cards are framed with a hairline border, card background, and a generous radius that clips the cover flush to the top. Text sits in comfortable padding. The byline uses a medium-weight author name over a muted tabular date, and long names truncate. The grid gap is tighter than in the borderless rows, which suits the framed look. On hover the cover dims and the title underlines, as two separate links.
Neutral, structured, and person-focused. Compared with the six-card version, the larger titles and single row give each post more presence. Simple and content-driven, though each post needs an author photo and name.
