Blog 71 block design & features
Blog71 is a six-post article grid built with Shadcn UI, arranged as two rows of three bordered cards under a section heading. Each card opens with a full-width 16:9 cover, followed by an uppercase category label, the title, a two-line excerpt, and a footer that pairs a round avatar and stacked author name and date with the read time aligned to the far right.
Each post sits in a bordered, rounded card with a card background and the photo flush against the top. The footer is the fullest among the bordered grids: a medium-weight name over a muted date on the left and a fainter read time on the right, pinned to the bottom so every row lines up. Long author names truncate rather than wrap. On hover, the cover dims a touch and the title gains an underline, each on its own.
Structured and editorial, with a staffed-publication feel that comes from a portrait on every card. The pattern is standard, but this is the most meta-complete card in the family. Complexity is moderate and content-driven: six covers, six excerpts, and an author name and headshot for each post.
Small widths show two columns, which still makes three even rows, and phones drop to one column.
