Blog 69 block design & features
Blog69 is a nine-post archive grid built with Shadcn UI, laid out as three rows of three under a heading and short description. Each card stacks a 16:9 cover photo, an uppercase category label, the title, a two-line excerpt, and the publish date at the bottom.
Spacing does the work here. Cards are borderless, with no border or fill, separated only by wide gutters and taller row gaps, and the photo frame is the only rounded surface. Meta is a single muted date, which keeps each card quieter than siblings that pair the date with a read time or byline. Covers dim softly on hover, titles underline on hover, and the grid is static on load.
Plain and familiar, with a quiet journal-index feel. It is the largest of the borderless three-column grids and the sparest on meta. The structure is simple, but the block is content-heavy: nine covers, nine categories, and nine summaries are needed to fill it.
At small widths the grid becomes two columns, leaving the ninth post on its own row, and phones stack to a single column.
