Blog 66 block design & features
Blog66 is a three-column grid of text tiles built with Shadcn UI. A heading and supporting description sit above six tiles, and each tile is one link containing a post title, a two-line excerpt, and a short "Read" cue with an up-right arrow.
At rest the tiles are invisible: no border, no fill, just padded text on the page background. Hovering anywhere on a tile fades in a rounded muted background behind the whole tile and darkens the arrow from muted to foreground, so the entire tile acts as one target instead of underlining the title. Titles are semibold, excerpts muted with relaxed line height, and the read cue is medium weight. Keyboard focus shows a soft ring around the tile. There is no entrance animation.
The block is minimal with a light interactive touch, and it is the only member of this family where the hover is a surface change rather than a text underline. The hidden tile shape keeps the grid airy until the pointer arrives. Complexity is low; it needs titles and short excerpts of similar length so the tiles line up.
Columns drop from three on large screens to two on medium screens and a single stack on mobile.
