Blog 64 block design & features
Blog64 is a two-column excerpt grid built with Shadcn UI. A centered heading and supporting description open the section, followed by four posts arranged two by two. Each post hangs off a vertical rule on its left edge and stacks a large title, an excerpt of up to three lines, and the publish date.
The left rule is a neutral border line slightly heavier than a hairline, with no color accent, card fill, or rounding. Generous whitespace separates the posts in both directions. Titles are large and semibold, excerpts are muted with relaxed line height, and the date sits small and muted beneath in even-width figures. Hovering a title underlines it; nothing else responds, and there is no animation.
The vertical rule gives it a pull-quote or marginal-note quality, which distinguishes it from the ruled rows and bordered cards elsewhere in the family. It is the only minimal grid here with a centered intro and the fewest posts, so it feels calm and spacious. Complexity is low; it needs titles and well-written excerpts of similar length so the pairs balance.
On small screens the two columns collapse into a single stack while each post keeps its left rule.
