Blog 58 block design & features
Blog58 is a two-column title index built with Shadcn UI. A small breadcrumb trail with slash separators sits above the section heading, and below it six posts run in a two-column grid. Each post is just a large title and a single byline line with the author, publish date, and read time.
Everything is type. There are no images, excerpts, card surfaces, or borders, so the titles sit directly on the page with generous whitespace between rows. Titles are large and semibold, with nothing beneath them competing for attention, while the byline steps down in three tones: a medium-weight author name in full foreground color, a muted date with even-width figures, and a fainter read time, separated by soft dots. Hovering a title draws a full-color underline, and breadcrumb links brighten from muted to foreground. There is no entrance animation.
The result reads like the contents page of a print magazine. With no excerpts at all, it leans harder on headlines than any other grid in this family, and the breadcrumb gives it a sense of place inside a larger site that its siblings lack. Complexity is very low; real content only needs strong titles, author names, dates, and read times.
On small screens the grid collapses to a single column and the byline wraps if it runs long.
