Blog 53 block design & features
Blog53 is a featured-plus-grid listing on a muted section background, built with Shadcn UI tokens rather than a hardcoded dark palette. A label and heading sit beside an all-posts link, then a wide featured card with a cinematic cover, category, title, excerpt, date, and a compact read cue. Three supporting cards follow in a row with 4:3 images and shorter titles.
Cards use bordered shells that brighten the border on hover instead of a heavy drop shadow. Category labels use the primary color so they stay visible on the muted canvas. Dark placeholder photography keeps the lab-like mood without locking the section to a single theme.
The pattern is a quieter take on a magazine well. Complexity is moderate and image-driven: the first post is treated as featured automatically, so the content list order matters.
On small screens the all-posts link hides and both the featured card and the three-up row stack.
