Blog 39 block design & features
Blog39 arranges a magazine-style index with one dominant left feature and a vertical stack of compact posts on the right, using a Shadcn UI Badge for the lead category tag. An uppercase tracking label opens the section, then the primary column links a large rounded image to a headline, excerpt, and author row. The opposite column lists four mini entries as horizontal pairs of square thumbnail and title with date, separated by top borders instead of card chrome.
Typography scales up on the lead story while mini posts stay compact and link-forward with underline-on-hover titles. Imagery carries most of the visual weight with minimal decorative framing beyond rounded crops.
The pattern feels print-inspired and scannable, distinct from sidebar blurbs or animated card grids. Complexity is moderate: one hero article with full metadata plus several shorter posts that only need title, date, thumbnail, and URL.
Responsive behavior collapses the two-column split into a single flow with the feature first and the mini stack following, keeping divider separation between compact rows.
