Blog 2 block design & features
Blog2 is a two-column post index built with a shadcn/ui Button. The header puts the section heading on the left and a ghost browse button on the right, bottom-aligned. Below it, up to eight posts run in two columns. Every row is a small two-part grid: a fixed-width date on the left and the post title on the right, with no summary, author, or image.
A hairline rule sits above every row, including the first, so the two columns read like a dated ledger. The last row ends open, with no rule beneath it and no card shell or background around the list. Dates are small, muted, and set in tabular figures, so they line up into a neat column of their own. Titles are semibold and slightly tightened, with generous whitespace above and below each row. Hovering a title underlines it. Nothing else moves, and there is no entrance animation.
The date-as-column layout gives it the feel of a changelog or archive page more than a blog teaser. It is the barest block in this set, sharper than the four-column title grid because the dates form a strict vertical rhythm. Complexity is very low: a list of titles with dates is all it needs.
On small screens the two columns collapse into one continuous list, but each row keeps the date beside the title instead of stacking it above.
