Blog 132 block design & features
The block arranges six posts in a three-column grid under a heading, description and archive link. Each 4:5 cover pairs a flat background colour with a single bold geometric shape in a contrasting tone: a circle, a half-disc, a quarter-circle, stripes, an arch or concentric rings.
The shapes are drawn as inline SVG and sit in the upper part of the cover, leaving room for the heavy title at the bottom and the category and issue number along the top. Each post sets its own background, text and shape colour, so the covers keep their palette in dark mode.
Below each cover a meta line shows the author, date and read time. Hovering a cover brings up an arrow in the corner with a simple fade.
On tablet the grid drops to two columns, and on mobile the covers stack in a single column.
