Blog 116 block design & features
Blog116 is an author archive built with shadcn/ui Button components in a sidebar and list layout. The left column holds a round portrait, the author's name, role and company, location with a pin icon, a short biography, an RSS follow button with square icon buttons for website, Twitter, and LinkedIn, and a three-up row of stats for articles, readers, and the year they started writing. The wider right column carries a "Posts by" heading and a stacked list of every post, each row pairing a landscape thumbnail with an uppercase category, title, two-line summary, date, and read time.
Hairline rules separate the stats from the profile and run between the post rows, with no borders or fills around anything else. The sidebar text sits at a smaller, quieter scale than a full-width header so the list does the visual work, and post titles underline on hover while thumbnails dim slightly.
It reads like a writer's page on a well-kept editorial site, calm and practical rather than showy. Complexity is moderate and content-driven: the block needs an author portrait, a bio, a few stats, and a thumbnail image for every post.
On large screens the sidebar stays pinned while the list scrolls past it. On phones the profile stacks above the list and each thumbnail moves above its post text.
