Blog 105 block design & features
Blog105 is an image-led category page made with Shadcn UI. The header has a heading and description on the left and an outline button to all categories on the right. Below it a four-column grid holds five categories: the first spans two columns and two rows as a featured tile with a short description, and the other four fill the remaining space. Every tile has a rounded cover photo with a small article count chip in the corner and the category name underneath.
Photography sets the mood here, with the type kept compact beneath each image. The count chips use a frosted background surface so they stay legible on any photo. The photo and the name link to the category separately, with the photo dimming slightly and the name underlining on hover.
It is a magazine-style bento layout that gives each category a visual identity rather than just a label. The block is image-driven and moderately simple: each category needs a cover photo, a name, and an accurate article count, and the featured one also needs a sentence of description.
The grid drops to two columns on tablets, with the featured tile spanning both, and to a single column on phones.
