Application Shell 42 block design & features
ApplicationShell42 is a cloud console shell built with Shadcn UI. The top bar has the logo, a Services button, a wide search field, cloud shell, notifications and help buttons, a region menu and an account menu with the account number, switch account, billing and sign out.
Services opens a full-width mega menu under the bar. Categories (Recent, Compute, Storage, Databases, Networking, Security, AI and data, Messaging) run down the left and switch on hover or click, and the right shows each service with an icon and a short description, plus a filter field. Starring a service pins it to the favourites bar under the top bar. The panel closes with Escape, the Services button or a click on the dimmed page.
The main area is a grey skeleton of a page title, actions, four metric cards, a large panel and a resource list. On small screens the search becomes an icon, the region menu hides, and the categories scroll sideways above the services.
