Application Shell 31 block design & features
ApplicationShell31 is a workspace tabs shell built with Shadcn UI. The sidebar has a workspace button, a record search, an Objects group (Companies, People, Deals) and a Recent records group. Clicking any item opens it as a tab, or switches to it if it is already open. A Collapse sidebar button in the footer shrinks the sidebar to icons.
The header is a tab strip. Pinned tabs show only an icon, other tabs show an icon, a title and a close button, and the active tab joins the page below. Tabs can be dragged to reorder, closed with a middle click, and a new tab button and an overflow menu listing every open tab sit at the end of the strip.
The tab panel is a skeleton record page with a header, section tabs, an activity feed and a details card.
On small screens the sidebar closes off-canvas behind a trigger at the start of the tab strip, the tab strip scrolls horizontally and the record details stack below the activity feed.
