Application Shell 15 block design & features
ApplicationShell15 is a full application shell built with shadcn/ui. A floating sidebar sits beside a main column that starts with a breadcrumb header, then a row of muted preview panels and a large content placeholder. The sidebar opens with the Shadcnblocks logo and the name Shadcnblocks, then lists section titles with their child links already expanded underneath.
The sidebar reads as a rounded card inset from the page edge rather than a full-height rail. Section titles are medium weight, and the nested links sit in a flat list without a left rule. The main area uses the page background, hairline separators, and muted fills for the placeholder panels. Nothing animates beyond the sidebar open and close.
This is a standard documentation-style shell with a shadcn-default treatment. The floating sidebar is the part that stands apart from a flush rail. It is a moderate, content-driven layout: a developer needs the Shadcnblocks name and logo, and a tree of section and page titles.
On smaller screens the sidebar collapses off-canvas and the header keeps a trigger next to the breadcrumb.
