The block arranges six images in a two-column grid with no gaps, each locked to a square aspect ratio. On hover, the image scales up slightly and a light background overlay appears. A text panel translates upward from below the frame into view, displaying a centered title and short description in muted tones.
The Shadcn UI layout keeps all chrome invisible at rest, presenting a pure photographic mosaic. The hover caption slides in with a transform transition at 300ms, synchronized with the image scale. Text uses semibold for titles and small size for descriptions.
The aesthetic is gallery-wall with edge-to-edge tiling and zero ornamentation. Without borders, rounded corners, or spacing between cells, the images flow together as a single visual surface until interaction breaks the uniformity.
On mobile the grid shifts to a single column while maintaining the square aspect and hover-reveal behavior for each image.
