Projects 32 block design & features
Projects32 is a filterable editorial grid. This shadcn/ui block places a heading and short description on the left and a row of rounded category tabs on the right, each built from a ghost Button with a small count beside the label. Below sits a dense four-column grid that mixes square, tall, wide, and large tiles.
Choosing a tab filters the grid to that category. The tiles that stay glide into their new positions with a spring layout transition, while the others fade out, and a filtered set switches to a fixed rhythm of tall and wide tiles so the mosaic never looks broken. The active tab fills with the foreground colour and uses aria-pressed, so the state is clear to assistive technology too.
Each tile shows its photo edge to edge. On desktop the title, client, and category fade in over a soft gradient on hover or focus, which keeps the grid quiet until you look closer.
On mobile the grid drops to two columns, the captions stay visible, and the tab row scrolls sideways. It suits studios and photographers whose work spans several disciplines.
