Projects 31 block design & features
Projects31 fans a portfolio along a semicircle arc. This shadcn/ui block sets a large serif line above the fan and a second italic serif line inside the bowl of the arc, so the photos read as a bridge between the two halves of a sentence. Fourteen portrait images sit on the curve, each turned to follow the radius.
Dragging sideways rotates the whole arc, and it settles on the nearest project when released. Two round outline Button components step one project at a time, and the arrow keys do the same when the stage has focus. Clicking any card brings it to the top. The card at the top shows in full colour while the rest are softly desaturated, and its client, sector, and year appear between the arrows with a running count.
The fan wraps forever, so cards that slide under the edge come back round on the other side. The motion uses a short eased tween and jumps straight to place when reduced motion is set.
On mobile the arc tightens, the italic line stays tucked inside it, and the caption and arrows sit just below. It suits architecture studios, photographers, and any portfolio with a strong set of portrait images.
