Projects 14 block design & features
The block uses a ten-cell grid where five positions are intentionally left empty, placing the five visible project cards in an asymmetric staggered arrangement. A header row spans the full width with a large "Selected work" title on the left and a "View all" link with an arrow icon on the right.
Each visible card animates upward from opacity zero as it scrolls into the viewport, with progressive delay per item. On hover, images shift upward and scale beyond their container bounds while the title text transitions to a muted color. Below each image sit the project title and a short category label.
The visual effect is an intentionally sparse, gallery-wall composition where negative space is as important as the content cells. The offset placement avoids the uniformity of a standard grid, creating a more curated, art-directed feel.
On mobile the grid simplifies to two columns with the hidden cells removed, stacking all five projects in a tighter arrangement.
