Gallery 99 block design & features
Gallery99 lays out a series of portrait photographs as a fanned hand of cards in a Shadcn UI section. A centered heading and description sit above the fan, which spreads the cards along a gentle arc with each one rotated a little further from the middle. Below it, round previous and next buttons frame a caption showing the selected photo's title, location, and year.
Choosing a card lifts it up and straightens it in front of the rest while the others stay fanned, all on springy motion. The caption slides and fades to the new title each time. Cards have a thick border in the background colour, which reads like a white print edge, plus a soft drop shadow, and the arrow keys move through the hand when the fan has focus.
It is playful and tactile, closer to sorting prints on a table than scrolling a carousel, and works best with a set of images that share a colour story. It needs portrait images with a short title, place, and year for each. The fan tightens to fit narrow screens so every card stays visible.
