Gallery 90 block design & features
Gallery90 pairs a masonry grid with a complete lightbox. This shadcn/ui block shows a heading and description above a two or three column masonry of photos in their natural proportions, with a title fading in on hover.
Opening a photo fills the screen with a dark viewer. A counter and zoom and close buttons sit at the top, large previous and next buttons sit at the sides, and the caption and a strip of thumbnails sit at the bottom. Photos slide in from the direction of travel. Clicking the image zooms it in, and the zoomed view follows the cursor so details can be inspected. Swiping sideways changes photos on touch screens, and the arrow and Escape keys work throughout. Page scroll is locked while open, and focus returns to the photo that opened the viewer.
It is a practical, fully featured gallery for photographers, real estate, and portfolios. It needs photos with a title and caption each.
