Gallery 87 block design & features
Gallery87 is a grid that reshapes itself around the viewer's attention. This Shadcn UI block shows a heading and description above a tall three by three grid of mixed photos.
Hovering a frame grows its column and its row while the other rows and columns shrink, so the focused photo ends up much larger and the rest of the grid stays visible around it. The resize uses a long smooth ease, the other photos dim and lose some saturation, and a small caption pill slides up on the focused frame. Tapping works the same way on touch screens.
It is a clean, architectural interaction that feels fresh without being gimmicky. It is simple to fill, needing nine images with short titles.
