Gallery 86 block design & features
Gallery86 is an inspection gallery built with shadcn/ui. A heading and description sit above two columns: a three by two grid of tall prints on the left and a large detail panel on the right with the current title and material underneath.
Hovering a print selects it and shows a small lens ring that follows the pointer while the rest of the print dims. The detail panel zooms into the same spot, so moving across a thumbnail pans across the magnified image. When nothing is hovered, the panel shows the whole print with a hint label.
It is practical and precise, well suited to architecture, materials, art prints, and products where texture matters. It needs high-resolution images with a title and short detail line each, and the zoom level is a prop.
On mobile the detail panel sits below the grid.
