Gallery 85 block design & features
Gallery85 is a photo proofing gallery built with shadcn/ui. An eyebrow, heading, and short description sit above a selection counter and a four-column grid of portrait shots, each labeled with a frame code. Below the grid, a frosted tray floats near the bottom of the viewport whenever anything is selected.
Hovering a frame zooms it slightly and reveals a round check. Selecting it fills the check, draws an inset ring, and shrinks the photo inside its frame, the way photo apps mark a pick. Picks fly into the tray as overlapping thumbnails with a springy entrance, and hovering a thumbnail shows a remove control. The tray also offers clear and send buttons, and once the selection limit is reached the remaining frames dim and turn gray.
It is practical and familiar, well suited to photographers, agencies, and any review flow where someone needs to choose a shortlist from a set of images. It needs a set of photos with short labels, and the selection limit is a prop.
The grid drops to three and then two columns on smaller screens.
