Gallery 74 block design & features
Gallery74 is an endless photo canvas built with shadcn/ui. A tall section is filled edge to edge with portrait tiles in a staggered grid, where alternate columns are shifted half a tile. A frosted card near the bottom holds the title and a drag hint, and a vignette fades the edges into the page.
The canvas can be dragged in any direction and keeps going forever, because the tile pattern wraps seamlessly. Releasing a drag carries the canvas on with momentum before it slows. Tiles zoom slightly on hover.
It feels exploratory and expansive, like browsing a contact sheet or an asset library. It is an experimental block that works with a modest set of images, since the pattern repeats, and needs around twenty portrait images to avoid obvious repeats.
