Gallery 72 block design & features
Gallery72 is a sortable photo grid built with shadcn/ui. A heading, short description, and reset button sit above a four-column grid of portrait photos, each with its position number, and a cover badge on the first.
Dragging a photo lifts it with a slight tilt and shadow, and moving it over another tile reorders the grid on the fly, with every other tile sliding smoothly into its new place. Numbers and the cover badge update as the order changes. With keyboard focus, the arrow keys move a photo earlier or later.
It is practical and satisfying, suited to album builders, print orders, and any flow where people curate their own sequence. It needs photos with a title each.
On mobile the grid drops to two columns.
