Gallery 71 block design & features
Gallery71 is a magnetic grid built with shadcn/ui. A heading and short description sit above a four-column grid of square photos mixing portraits, landscapes, and objects.
As the pointer moves over a tile, the tile is pulled toward it on a soft spring and grows slightly, while the photo inside shifts gently the other way, which gives each tile a little depth. Moving away lets it settle back into place, and a caption fades in at the bottom while hovered. The effect only runs for a mouse pointer.
It is playful without being distracting, a subtle upgrade to a standard grid. It needs square-friendly photos with short titles.
On mobile the grid drops to two columns.
