Gallery 52 block design & features
Gallery52 is a caption-on-hover bento gallery built with shadcn/ui. A mono eyebrow, heading, and short description introduce seven photographs packed into a four-column grid. A large hero tile spans two columns and two rows, a wide cell sits beside it, then smaller tiles and a second wide cell fill the remaining pack without empty holes.
On hover, a bottom scrim reveals the caption while the image stays in place. Large rounded borders and cover cropping keep the mosaic tight. On smaller screens the layout collapses toward fewer columns so the hero weight remains readable without the desktop pack.
The look is modern collage with moderate layout complexity from the packed spans and hover captions. Content needs seven photographs with short labels that work as overlay type. The hover caption is the distinctive interaction versus a silent bento mosaic.
