Gallery 48 block design & features
Gallery48 is a dark gallery section built with shadcn/ui that inverts the section surface so foreground text sits on a near-black field. A mono eyebrow and large heading introduce nine wide images in a responsive two-to-three column grid. Each photograph sits inside a nested frame: an outer soft shell and an inner padded border around the media.
The nested frames and soft outer shells give the tiles a floating portfolio look against the inverted background. Cover cropping keeps subjects filled while the double border adds depth without overlays or captions. Hover stays quiet so the framing carries the polish.
The aesthetic is quiet and editorial rather than playful. Complexity is low and mostly surface-driven through the inverted palette and nested frames. It needs a set of images that hold up against a dark surround, typically high-contrast photography.
