Gallery 46 block design & features
Gallery46 is a filterable gallery built with shadcn/ui for browsing labeled images. A mono eyebrow and heading introduce a row of pill category controls, then a responsive three-column grid of wide photographs. Each item shows a title and a small bordered category badge; selecting a category narrows the set, with an empty-state line when nothing matches.
Active pills invert to foreground on background while inactive ones stay muted with a light border. Tiles use large rounded frames and a slight hover scale so filtering feels tactile without leaving the page. The badge treatment keeps taxonomy visible beside the title rather than buried in metadata.
The pattern is practical and content-driven with moderate interaction complexity. It works best when you have multiple categories and enough items for filters to feel useful. Compared with a static grid, the pill strip is the distinctive control surface.
