Gallery 43 block design & features
Gallery43 is an interactive gallery built with Shadcn UI that pairs a dense square grid with a modal lightbox. A mono eyebrow, heading, and short description introduce eight image tiles arranged from two to four columns. Hover reveals a bottom scrim and title; click opens a modal with a wide preview plus title and body copy.
Tiles use large rounded bordered frames and cover photography. The modal keeps a max width with a flush media header and padded text below, so focus stays on the selected shot. Overlay type uses background tokens over a foreground scrim so labels stay readable in both themes.
The pattern is a common lightbox grid with moderate complexity. It is interaction-driven through the modal and content-driven through the eight labeled tiles. The hover label plus modal detail makes it more useful than a static grid without adding carousel chrome.
