Gallery 29 block design & features
The block forces a dark color scheme and places a centered heading in a serif font with a short tagline beneath it. Below the header, a Magic UI Marquee scrolls portrait-ratio images horizontally at reduced opacity, creating a muted background ribbon of photography. A single featured image sits centered above the marquee track at a slightly larger scale, linked as a clickable element.
Hovering the featured image triggers a backdrop-blur overlay with a slide-up text label rendered in a gradient-clipped serif font. Edge gradients on the left and right sides fade the marquee into the background color, and several skewed decorative stripes appear in dark mode at very low opacity, adding faint diagonal texture to the backdrop.
The mood is cinematic and subdued, leaning on the contrast between the muted scrolling imagery and the single sharp focal image. The serif typography and dark palette give the section a gallery-exhibition tone that feels more atmospheric than utilitarian.
