Gallery 27 block design & features
Gallery27 is a grid gallery built with shadcn/ui. A centered heading and description sit above two rows of four portrait photos, all shown in grayscale as if printed in a monograph.
Hovering or focusing a tile restores its full colour, zooms the photo slightly, and slides a frosted caption bar up from the bottom with the title and year. The transitions use a long, soft ease so moving across the grid feels smooth rather than flickery.
It is restrained and tasteful, a good fit for architecture, editorial, and portfolio work where colour should be a reward. It needs portrait images with a title and year each.
On mobile the grid drops to two columns.
