Gallery 18 block design & features
Gallery18 is a portrait card deck built with shadcn/ui. A large stack of portrait photographs sits in the center of the section, with the front card upright and the next few fanned behind it, each slightly rotated, offset, and scaled down. Under the deck, the current title animates in above a mono counter and credit line.
The deck advances on its own every few seconds. The front card swings off to the left on a spring while the next one settles forward, and the cards behind shuffle up to fill the stack. Dragging or swiping the front card throws it either way, short drags spring back, and the arrow keys work when the deck is focused. Hovering or focusing the deck pauses autoplay, and it stays off for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
It is tactile and minimal, a good fit for lookbooks, portrait series, and team or talent showcases. It needs a set of portrait images with a short title and credit for each.
