Gallery 140 block design & features
Gallery140 is a grid of hover reveal cards built with shadcn/ui. A centred heading and one-line description sit above four portrait photo cards, each with a short caption underneath and the name of its effect on the right. Every card hides a second photo that pairs with the first, such as two pastel abstracts or a scoop of ice cream and a plate of crackers.
Each card uses a different reveal. The first opens a soft-edged circle from the point where the pointer enters and closes it towards where the pointer leaves. The second sweeps a feathered diagonal edge from the top-left corner. The third switches on a grid of square cells in a scattered order, and the fourth spreads the photo outward in noisy blotches like ink soaking into paper. Keyboard focus reveals a card as well, and on touch screens a tap pins the second photo until the next tap. With reduced motion every card uses a short crossfade.
The grid suits before-and-after pairs, product details, collections or portfolio pieces that have a second view worth discovering. It needs two related photos and a short caption for each card.
