Gallery 135 block design & features
Gallery135 is a horizontal photo reel built with shadcn/ui and motion. Below a centred heading and one line of description, ten tall 2:3 cards with a thin white border overlap one another in a single row, each leaning a few degrees left or right in an irregular rhythm, like prints laid out by hand on a table. Two round outline arrow buttons sit underneath.
The row drifts slowly on its own and loops without an end. Hovering a card pauses the drift, straightens the card and lifts it forward over the cards on either side, and it settles back into its lean when the pointer moves on. Dragging throws the row with inertia, a horizontal swipe or a wheel step moves it one card, and on touch a sideways swipe moves it while vertical swipes still scroll the page. The arrow buttons and the arrow keys move one card at a time. Clicking a card, but not at the end of a drag, opens a lightbox dialog with the full photo, its caption and previous and next buttons, and the arrow keys page through the set there too.
The reel suits beauty, skincare, fashion and product brands with a set of portrait studio shots. Each card needs a photo and a short caption, which is used as the lightbox title and the button label.
