At rest the current photo is shown clean and sharp. When the slideshow advances, a pane of reeded glass ramps in over the outgoing photo: each vertical rib behaves like a narrow cylindrical lens, squeezing a wider strip of the picture into its width and catching a thin highlight along one side. The next photo sweeps across the ribs, then the glass fades away as it settles. The slideshow advances every few seconds and loops, and arrow keys work when the frame is focused. With reduced motion slides change without the glass sweep.
The glass transition suits interiors, architecture, hospitality and lifestyle brands that want a calm, tactile showcase. It needs a wide photo and a short title for each slide.
