Gallery 129 block design & features
Gallery129 is a wide slideshow built with shadcn/ui in the format of a set of stories. A heading sits on the left of the header row with a short description and round arrow buttons on the right, and below it a 16:9 rounded frame fills the container width. Segmented progress bars run along the top of the frame, and the title and note for the current photo sit in the bottom-left corner over a soft dark gradient.
Each new photo is revealed like a set of blinds opening. Nine horizontal slats each open outwards from their own centre line, starting at the top and working down, and every slat starts slightly shaded and brightens as it opens. Going backwards opens the slats from the bottom up. The current bar fills over five seconds and then advances in an endless loop. Hovering or pressing and holding the frame pauses it with a small Paused label, tapping the left third goes back and tapping elsewhere goes forward, and arrow keys work when the frame is focused. Each frame can set its own object position for the crop, and on small screens the frame switches to a 4:5 ratio. With reduced motion the slats are replaced by a short crossfade.
The wide frame and the blind reveal suit interiors, home tech, hotel rooms or any landscape product photography. It needs a photo, a short title and a one-line note for each frame.
