Gallery 128 block design & features
Gallery128 is a portrait slideshow built with shadcn/ui in the format of a set of stories. A centred heading and one-line description sit above a tall 4:5 rounded frame, and the title and note for the current photo sit underneath it with a pair of round arrow buttons on the right. Thin segmented progress bars run across the top of the frame.
Each new photo arrives through ten diagonal bands. The bands wipe in along their length one after another starting from the top-left corner, so the leading edge reads as a staircase moving across the picture. Going backwards runs the sequence from the bottom-right corner in the opposite direction. The current bar fills over five seconds and then advances, looping back to the start after the last frame. Hovering or pressing and holding the frame pauses it with a small Paused label, tapping the left third goes back and tapping elsewhere goes forward, and arrow keys work when the frame is focused. With reduced motion the bands are replaced by a short crossfade.
The narrow, centred frame suits beauty, skincare, fashion or any product line shot in portrait. It needs a photo, a short title and a one-line note for each frame.
