Gallery 124 block design & features
Gallery124 is a masonry photo gallery built with shadcn/ui that filters by colour instead of by category. The heading and intro sit on the left with a row of round colour swatches and an All chip on the right, above a two or three column masonry grid of twelve prints of buildings shot against open sky. Every photo has a title, a mono detail line and small dots for the colours it carries.
At rest every photo is shown in grayscale. Choosing a swatch slowly brings the matching photos back into full colour and draws a thin ring in the swatch colour around each one, while the photos that do not match stay grey, darken and fade slightly. A live mono label reads out how many prints carry that colour, clicking the swatch again or All returns the grid to grayscale, and the arrow keys move through the swatches.
The tone is calm and editorial, and the colour only appears when it is asked for. It suits print shops, architecture photographers and interior or paint brands that sell by palette. Each photo needs a title, a short detail line, an aspect ratio and the list of swatch names whose colour is dominant in it.
