Gallery 123 block design & features
Gallery123 is a minimal shadcn/ui photo gallery built with motion/react, where the folders themselves are the navigation. A single heading sits above four tabbed paper folders, each in its own soft colour with the project name on its tab and a few white bordered prints tucked inside so their tops peek out. On small screens the folders sit in a two by two grid.
Clicking a folder, or the prints peeking out of it, lifts its photos out into a gentle fan above the folders while the stage grows to make room. Clicking any print expands it from its exact position into a large lightbox with a short caption and counter, and the arrow keys or round buttons step through that folder. Esc, the close button or a click outside sends the print back to its place. Clicking another folder swaps the fan, and clicking the open folder again, pressing Esc or clicking empty space files the prints away. Folders are focusable buttons, Enter opens one and moves focus to its first print, arrows move between prints and Enter opens the lightbox. Reduced motion settings skip the springs.
It suits photographers, studios and agencies that want to group work by project without extra chrome. Each folder needs a name, a colour and three to five portrait photos with short captions.
