Gallery 119 block design & features
Gallery119 is a hero-style gallery built with shadcn/ui for a travel journal. A tall open area holds a large centred heading and a short description, with a few tilted, captioned prints resting around them. The roll name sits in the bottom left corner and a mono counter for the latest frame sits in the bottom right.
When the pointer moves across the band, the resting prints fade back and small print-style frames drop along its path. A new frame appears each time the pointer has travelled about 90 pixels. Each springs in at a slight random angle, then fades and drops away after about a second, with no more than seven on screen at once. Every frame shows its photo with a number and caption, and the set cycles in order so a long sweep shows the whole roll. The resting prints return a couple of seconds after the pointer stops. On touch screens a tap drops a frame, and a sideways drag leaves a trail without blocking vertical scrolling. With reduced motion only the resting prints are shown.
It works as a playful opener for travel writers, photographers, magazines and hotels. It needs a set of photos with a short caption each, a heading and a roll or archive label.
