Gallery 116 block design & features
Gallery116 is a full-bleed shadcn/ui slideshow styled like a festival screening programme. A heading and short introduction sit above a dark stage that runs the full width of the page. Each film still fills the stage with a gradient at the bottom carrying a large index number, the film title, director, runtime, country and screening slot, alongside a counter and round pause, previous and next buttons. A segmented progress bar runs along the bottom edge.
Moving forward, the next still arrives from a magnified blur and snaps into focus while three ghost copies at larger scales fade and converge onto it, like a fast camera zoom pull, as the outgoing still pushes past and dissolves. Going back reverses the move, with the new still growing out of a smaller blurred frame and the old one zooming away. The slideshow advances on its own every few seconds with the active progress segment filling in real time, and the pause button stops it. Swiping, the arrow keys and the progress segments all navigate, and with reduced motion autoplay is off and stills simply crossfade.
It suits film festivals, cinemas, production companies, music labels and photographers who want a bold, immersive showcase. It needs a wide still, a title and a few short credit details for each slide.
